General Qualifications we look for:

• Skill in the particular area you are applying for.
• References from 3 other places you have worked in the computer field you are applying for.
• Web and eMail access. We are placing this page here with no phone, because we prefer to work with computer consultants who use the Internet. We use it to organize projects, scheduling, and for you to report your hours, client needs, and jobs complete.
• A dependable car is required so you can show up promptly for on-site consulting and training classes.
• Your own computer - so you can work on the projects from home if necessary. We would expect any computer consultant to have ready access to one. A laptop is helpful, but not required.
• A pager or cell phone, or means to be able to reach you any time, not an answering machine. Many places offer them for under $10/month.
• Promptness. When we tell a client you are going to be there, we expect that. 80% of success is showing up on time.
• Professional appearance and manner. Please email or send a photo of how you would dress for work. This is not a fashion contest - we just want you to look reasonably businesslike.
• Patience and positivity with our clients - understanding that they are experts in their field, maybe not computers.
• Ability to communicate clearly with the clients - and listen to their needs.
