ACT! Record Manager Fix
If you have lost the Record Managers for your Contacts,
Activities, History, Notes and Sales
but you have an older version of your database that has the correct Record
Managers
we can use that as a reference to fix your current database.
This utility fixes the Record Managers, based on an earlier ACT!
6.0 database that you have.
It fixes the Contact, Activities, History & Notes, Groups, and Sales/Opportunity
tables in ACT!
Main Menu
Contacts: NewData
This is the latest data, but the Record Managers
in the User field have all become the same "K)%>*#6W"
Contacts: OldData
It may be old, but it has the correct Record
Manager codes in the User field
Activities: Schedl_for and
Schedl_by fields
Notice that the Schedl_for has the same Unique_Id, "K)%
>*#6W" for all the records. For the first activity it should be "=5:|
&?T/W" as seen in the OldData' activity table. These will be fixed.
History - User field
Groups: User field
Sales & Opportunities
Report
At the end of the process, a listing of what has been done is
put in to a Text file for your reference.
