Description

This workshop is an intensive hands-on workshop that builds on concepts introduced in the SCO UNIX System V/386 System Administration courses. Approximately 75 percent of the class time is spent in lab activities emphasizing the development of practical system-installation skills. Upon completion of this workshop, students will be able to analyze system hardware and software requirements, install and configure all classes of hardware and software, and troubleshoot most system-performance problems

Objectives

Participants will:

Install hardware and peripherals, including tape drives, serial cards, terminals, printers, second hard disks, modems, and mice
Administer system log books
Troubleshooting the operating system
