Ø        Designed and implemented parts of a multi million dollar project to configure and control package sorting and shipping operations for UPS, using Object Oriented techniques on COM components.

Ø       Designed parts of a multi-million dollar project to build custom software for managing retirement funds.  Performed Object Oriented analysis and design, modeled in UML and implemented by building ActiveX and COM components in n-Tier architecture on Windows NT.

Maintained and migrated a legacy document management system using Eastman imaging technology for INS.  The system was ported from Visual Basic 4 to Visual Basic 6, replacing third party controls and refactoring code.

Designed and implemented parts of a multi million dollar project to configure and control package sorting and shipping operations for UPS.  Performed Use Case analysis and COM component design with Object Oriented techniques using Rational Rose, followed by implementation in Visual Basic with Oracle back end in n-Tier architecture.  The software development was carried out with Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology.

Designed and implemented parts of a web-based system using ASP and JavaScript technologies and COM/DCOM components.  The system provided B2B e-commerce solutions to the publishing industry to collect product catalog orders.  Heavy emphasis was placed on XML based data exchange.

 

Designed and implemented an XML based system to collect data in any arbitrary format, converting it to intermediate layers of XML structure followed by populating SQL Server database.  Designed and implemented a Visual Basic application to automate processing of returned email, by identifying delivery problems and automatically generating and dispatching reports to alert the overseeing personnel.
