With over eight years in the computer systems and Information Technology arena, I have spent the last six years as a training manager and instructor in the personal computer training field. I have conducted training to thousands of students in many Windows and DOS applications, met with clients to determine training needs and have authored several training manuals.

Managed ten full time instructors, eight part-time instructors and thirty contract instructors. Conducted scheduling, facilitated trainer certification programs, interviewed, hired and conducted performance reviews.

Managed full time instructors, computer technician, course scheduler and consultants. Scheduled instructors to teach classes. Interviewed trainers for potential full time and contractor teaching positions. Developed and maintained the instructor certification program in order to ensure consistent, quality classroom training. Created incentive programs for top performers. Periodically met with individual instructors to conduct performance evaluations.

Developed and maintained database of contractors to conduct classes and develop courseware. Supported the sales staff by assisting in the writing of proposals and meeting with clients. Developed hotline support procedures to provide clients with after class telephone support. Conducted training in many popular DOS and Windows applications.

Trained over 500 users on numerous PC and MAC applications, including Intro MAC, MacDraw, Super Paint, DOS, MS Word, MS Excel, Word Perfect, dBaseIIII and R:Base. Additionally, worked on a help desk at the General Services Administration providing PC and Macintosh support for over 90 users.

Liaison between customers and Systems Engineers. Wrote programs using a database query language to supply customers and Systems Engineers with life insurance information. Learned and applied knowledge of Cobol and Job Control Language (JCL).
