EmailASC
Helps you convert Email Addresses into ASCII code.
Keep your Web site email addresses out of reach of Spam Robots
Works as a handy File Manager
Also lets you do HTML work
You have a Web page and you want your viewers to be able to email you from the Web site. For example:
For more information Email to: Rick@CICorp.com
Spam (unsolicited email) programs called "robots" have been developed by marketers to search the Web for email addresses and add them to a list of potential customers.
You and your staff end up getting more and more Spam and may not realize how they got your email address, or where the email "offers" are coming from. This makes it harder for you to find and respond to your important contacts.
EmailASC lets you convert the email addresses in HTML file into ASCII code (American Standard Code for Information Interchange). The ASCII number of the letters in the email address is used instead of the letters.

You could do this yourself by hand, but it would take hours to protect your web pages, and you might make an error while doing such tedious work.
Your web page will still work normally while the email addresses are in coded form. Converting the email addresses to ASCII codes still makes the email address appear and work perfectly fine. But the SPAM Search Robots cannot interpret these codes.
To see this for yourself, use your browser's "View Source" command, you will see that the above example is actually in ASCII code.
SPAM Email Search Robots scan through thousands of pages on the Web looking for words containing an "@" sign and a "." dot. Then they take the email addresses surrounding them and put them into a database.
EmailASC lets you conveniently encrypt the email addresses, while leaving the surrounding text untouched. It searches for email addresses in the HTML file using the same principles the Spam robots use. It also does not harm your existing HTML code.
EmailASC lets you conveniently protect one file, or a whole directory with a few clicks. In seconds your HTML files are protected and can be uploaded to your Web site.
EmailASC works like a File Manager, allowing you to select files for conversion and protection. You can select wildcards, such as *.HTM and TagAll. Then you can click on "EmailASC" and all the files will be converted within seconds. This can save you hours of tedious work.
You can simply double click on any file to view it, and change the HTML code. So it also makes a convenient HTML editor.
If you would like to convert the whole web page, not just the email addresses, please see our companion product: HTML-ASC
You can run it on a large HTM file, for example the list of Certified ACT! consultants at ACTCA.Org/list
