GOLDMINE CONVERSION
Our GoldMine Conversion Service will convert all contact data, including secondary contacts, custom fields, notes, histories, e-mail addresses, calendar information and group information.

What is required for this service to be provided.
In order to perform the conversion we need a copy of your GoldMine file set and the completed conversion service request forms.

What files do I need to send?
Here is a list of the files we need to convert your GoldMine data to ACT!

The following 18 files will all be in a sub-folder named after the database:
CONTACT1.DBF, CONTACT.DBT, CONTACT.MDX
(Note: May appear as 3 files called CONTACT1.*)
CONTACT2.DBF, CONTACT2.DBT, CONTACT2.MDX
(Note: May appear as 3 files called CONTACT2.*)
CONTSUPP.DBF, CONTSUPP.DBT, CONTSUPP.MDX
(Note: May appear as 3 files called CONTSUPP.*)
CONTUDEF.DBF, CONTUDEF.DBT, CONTUDEF.MDX
(Note: May appear as 3 files called CONTUDEF.*)
CONTHIST.DBF, CONTHIST.DBT, CONTHIST.MDX
(Note: May appear as 3 files called CONTHIST.*)
CONTGRPS.DBF, CONTGRPS.DBT, CONTGRPS.MDX
(Note: May appear as 3 files called CONTGRPS.*)

The following 3 files will be in a subfolder to the GoldMine folder, generally the GMBASE folder:
CAL.DBF, CAL.DBT, CAL.MDX (Note: May appear as 3 files called CAL.*)

Send all of the files with the above names regardless of extension, even if there does not appear to be a file extension.

If you have multiple GoldMine databases, you should expect to find set of these files for each database, and expect to be charged separately for each database you want converted.

Because of the complex data structure, many users elect to use WinZip or WinRAR to compress their entire GoldMine folder and send it to us by email, on CD, or via our FTP site.

If you would like an account to login to our FTP site, let us know by sending and email to actrepair@act.com. In the subject line of the email message enter “Requesting FTP Account”. Please include your contact information. I.e.: Company Name, Name, Phone number, and email address. One of the database services representatives will contact you with your account information.

If you need some assistance collecting the files and creating the archive let us know and one of our technicians can contact you by phone to assist in getting the files to us. There will be an additional charge of $50.00 for this service. (An incomplete set of files will delay your request).

 


 

GOLDMINE CONVERSION
Goldmine Database Conversion Service
Price Worksheet

This price worksheet will help you determine the estimated cost of converting your goldmine database. The actual cost of the service depends on the priority of services and number of contacts in the database. If you choose the incorrect number of contacts, your estimate will be inaccurate. If for any reason the estimate on the forms is incorrect by +/- 50% of the actual cost we will contact you before billing. ( For example: If your conversion is estimated at $350.00, we will contact you if it will exceed $500.00)

Goldmine Database conversion is based on two main factors:

  1. Number of contact records in the database. ($0.10 per record)
  2. Priority of Service. ($250 for Standard Service, $500 for Priority Service)

Note: If you are unsure of any information relating to your database make your best guess. Please note this can impact the cost of the repair.

We offer an optional priority service. Priority Service requests are processed in the order in which they are received, and are placed ahead of all Standard service requests. Standard requests are usually completed within 7-10 business days, while priority service requests are usually completed within 1-3 business days. As each database repair is different, we cannot guarantee the turnaround time, even for priority service.

Standard Conversion Service
(Standard fee of $250 + $0.10 per record)
Priority Conversion Service
(Priority fee of $500 + $0.10 per record)

Note: If the technician determines that there is significant data loss you will be contacted. At that time you will have the option to cancel the job. If (for any reason) you cancel a job after work has begun you will only be charged an evaluation fee. For Standard Service the evaluation fee is generally $50.00. If you elect for Priority Service the evaluation fee will be at least $100.00, and may be up to the amount of the priority service fee, depending on how much work was done before the job was cancelled. In the unlikely event that the evaluation fee for a given job is to exceed the amounts listed you will be contacted. The repair fee will not be levied until the repair is completed. The evaluation fee may be levied when work is begun.

We cannot guarantee the amount of time spent on the recovery. Usually Standard Service is completed within 10 business days, Priority Service within 3 business days, however, this is just an estimate of the amount of time required to return the database.
